Is your baby adorable? Enter your baby in our 2008 Bundles of Babies Calendar Contest

The Town Talk is looking for the cutest babies in Central Louisiana to be featured in our 2008 calendar. If your child was born after Jan. 1, 2004, he or she may be eligible.

There are three ways to enter:

Mail your child's photograph and entry form (see a copy of The Town Talk for entry form) to Bundles of Babies, The Town Talk, P.O. Box 7558, Alexandria, LA 71306. All photos must be at least 4 inches wide and in color. Inkjet copies are not accepted. Mailed submissions must be postmarked by Oct. 5, 2007, and received by Oct. 6, 2007.

2. You can drop off your child's photograph and entry form at The Town Talk building, 1201Third St. in Alexandria, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. The deadline is Oct. 5, 2007. Entry forms are available at The Town Talk building as well as in the newspaper.

3. Go to www.thetowntalk.com/babycontest to send in your entry form electronically. Electronic photos must be at least 300 dpi. Online submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Oct. 5, 2007.

2008 Hooters Swimsuit Calendar Revealed in NYC Oct. 3

The idea to publish a calendar featuring the beautiful Hooters Girls began in Florida in 1986. The first edition hit the few Hooters Restaurants in existence at that time. Hooters of Clearwater, Tampa, Casselberry, Jacksonville, and Lakeland easily sold out of the 2,500 copies printed that year. This year marks Hooters Calendar's 22nd year, where distribution is estimated at a half million worldwide, continuing their reputation as the best-selling calendar of its kind. Filled with photos of the world famous Hooters Girls, jokes of the day, and fun graphic elements, the Hooters Calendar is unique because the months are out of order. Chuck Melcher, publisher of, and partner in, the Hooters Calendar had this to say about that, "Our calendar had to be different. Anyone can make one you can write appointments and birthdays in, but we wanted to create a calendar that would actually make your day better. Between the girls and the jokes, I think we've managed to accomplish that." Doug Vollmer, head photographer and project director, continued, "Our format of the months being out of order wasn't planned. Calendars came from the printer back in 1986, for proofing and everyone thought it was fun! In order to find the right month, you had to search through the entire calendar again and that way, you would re-visit all of the girls and jokes again."

Generally held at the end of the summer, the photo selection process includes Hooters owners, franchisee groups, marketing associates and special celebrity guests, who all participate in the process of whittling down the thousands of photos to the 250 needed for the calendar. The Girls selected then enjoy a year of celebrity, traveling around the country, appearing on radio and television programs, doing calendar signings, and generally just enjoying being recognized as some of the best looking women in the world!

Cover girl Michelle Nunes, Nesie Daglis and Breanne Ashley, Miss Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant winner representing Atlanta along with Tampa's Ashlee Figg, St. Pete's Shauna Hoyt, San Antonio's Sara Beth Hoots; Toledo's Jessica Pribanic; representing Tennessee Becki Haines; Ft.
